Apple has introduced the iPhone Pocket, an accessory designed to complement the iPhone in collaboration with Japanese fashion brand ISSEY MIYAKE. It can create a new way for users to carry their devices and small essentials.

What is iPhone Pocket

The iPhone Pocket features a singular 3D-knitted design created by ISSEY MIYAKE with Apple Design Studio. It has been created as a wearable pocket and can hold an iPhone along with other small items, such as AirPods. Apple says the material is designed to balance style, and combines traditional craftsmanship with modern textile innovation.

How iPhone Pocket Can Be Used

The iPhone Pocket is designed for everyday use. According to Apple, its open-knit fabric stretches to securely hold any iPhone model along with other small items, while allowing users to peek at the screen without removing the device. It can be carried in multiple ways, by hand, attached to a bag or worn on the body to provide convenience and adaptability for different situation.

iPhone Pocket: Price, Colours, and Availability

The iPhone Pocket is offered in two strap designs to suit different preferences. The short strap comes in eight colours that includes lemon, mandarin, purple, pink, peacock, sapphire, cinnamon and black. The long strap is offered in three colours: sapphire, cinnamon, and black.

The short strap version is available in eight colours and is priced at $149.95 (Rs 13,212 approx) whereas the long strap version comes in three colours with a price tag of $229.95 (Rs 20,391 approx).

Customers can purchase the accessory starting Friday, 14 November 2025 at selected Apple Store locations as well as online at apple.com in France, Greater China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, and the US.

Apple has not yet revealed details about whether the iPhone Pocket will be available in India or its pricing for the Indian market.

The announcement has sparked criticism on social media, with many users questioning the iPhone Pocket’s high price and practicality. American YouTuber Marques Brownlee posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Two hundred and thirty dollars. This feels like a litmus test for people who will buy or defend anything Apple releases.”

Another user wrote, “AI is changing the world right now, and what is Apple launching? A completely overpriced iPhone Pocket. Steve Jobs would have never done that.”
