April 1 (Tuesday) – Banks’ Yearly Account Closing/Sarhul
All banks across India will be closed for the annual account finalisation. Additionally, Jharkhand will celebrate Sarhul, a festival celebrating the worship of nature.

April 5 (Saturday) – Babu Jagjivan Ram’s Birthday
Banks in Telangana will remain closed in honour of Babu Jagjivan Ram, a social reformer and freedom fighter.

April 10 (Thursday) – Mahavir Jayanti
Banks in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Telangana are to be shut on the account of birth of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism.

April 14 (Monday) – Ambedkar Jayanti, Vishu, Bihu, Tamil New Year, etc.
This day is widely celebrated across India, except in Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, and Himachal Pradesh. It commemorates Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary along with multiple regional New Year celebrations.

April 15 (Tuesday) – Bengali New Year, Himachal Day, Bohag Bihu
Banks in Assam, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh will be closed for state-specific festivals.

April 18 (Friday) – Good Friday
Observed across most states, except Tripura, Assam, Rajasthan, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, and Srinagar, this Christian holiday marks the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

April 21 (Monday) – Garia Puja
Banks in Tripura will remain closed for this tribal festival.

April 29 (Tuesday) – Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Jayanti
Himachal Pradesh will observe a bank holiday in honor of Lord Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Vishnu.

April 30 (Wednesday) – Basava Jayanti And Akshaya Tritiya
Karnataka is expected to have a holiday for Basava Jayanti, commemorating Basavanna, the founder of the Lingayat sect, alongside Akshaya Tritiya, an auspicious day for wealth and prosperity.
