News of HDFC Bank increasing its AMB from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 started doing the rounds soon after ICICI Bank increased its AMB for new savings accounts from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 for urban areas, effective August 1, 2025 and Rs 5,000 in the rural region.
