Pi Network celebrated its sixth year on March 14, 2025, with substantial enhancements that included ecosystem extensions. While there has been discussion about migration issues and the lack of a Binance listing, volatility in prices still creates concern.
The final deadline for KYC verification and Mainnet migration has passed which impacted users who had yet to complete the process. Those who missed the deadline on 14th March at 8:00 AM UTC, which is 1:30 PM IST, lost most of their mined Pi, retaining only the amount earned in the last six months. The difficulty was increased by certain users' technological problems and delays in verification. As the policy is intended to ensure compliance, it has also led to discussions within the Pi community.
Key Updates and New Features
To improve its ecology and usefulness, Pi Network released a number of improvements on the occasion of Pi Day 2025. As per Pi Network's official X post, users can now buy Pi-based domain names with the launch of the .pi Domains Auction, and the interface of the ecosystem has been revamped for better accessibility and navigation. The network has also expanded its Mainnet ecosystem by integrating more decentralized applications (dApps). The PiFest shopping event has began in order to incentivize shops to accept Pi Coin and drive real-world adoption.
No Binance Listing Despite Speculation
In the days leading up to Pi Day, excitement around a potential Binance listing gained traction with many in the community hoping for a breakthrough moment. A recent Binance community vote revealed overwhelming support, with 87.1 per cent of participants favouring Pi Coin’s listing, further fueling optimism.
While Binance has not yet announced any plans to list, doing so may change the game. Pi Coin can experience a sharp price increase and increase adoption in the larger cryptocurrency ecosystem if it is listed on Binance.
