Amfi Data September 2026: Equity mutual fund inflows rose 30.61 per cent month-on-month (m-o-m) to Rs 28,306.55 crore in September 2026, from Rs 29,328.62 crore in August, according to data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi).

This marks the third straight month of rising inflows following a 14.8 per cent decline in July. The sharp jump in equity mutual fund inflows came despite bearish market sentiment in September, when the Sensex fell 5.82 per cent and the Nifty 50 declined 6 per cent. High crude oil prices, rising US Treasury yields and a weakening rupee weighed on the market, prompting foreign portfolio investors (FPI) to withdraw Rs 35,861 crore out of domestic equities.

Inflows through systematic investment plan (SIP) rose slightly to a record Rs 32,490 crore in September from Rs 32,297 crore in August. The increase was bigger on a yearly basis, with inflows rising 11 per cent from Rs 29,361 crore in September 2025.
