Shares of Dhoot Transmission made their debut on the NSE and the BSE on August 17, 2026, with strong gains. On the BSE, the stock listed at Rs 1,193.80 per share, up 37.06 per cent from the upper end of the issue price band of Rs 871 apiece on the exchanges. On the NSE, the stock listed at Rs 1200 per share up by 37.77 per cent compared to the issue price.

Dhoot Transmission Listing Day Gain

Applicants who were successfully allotted a minimum of one lot or 17 shares would have made a profit of around Rs 5,593 [(Rs 1200 - Rs 871) x 17] after the stock listed on the exchanges. The company’s market capitalisation stood at Rs 24,418.95 crore as 3,90,000 shares of the company changed hands.

Dhoot Transmission IPO: Offer Size

Dhoot Transmission’s initial public offering (IPO) was a book-built issue worth Rs 3,066.89 crore. The electrical and electronics company’s issue consisted of a fresh issue of Rs 1,400 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of Rs 1,666.89 crore. The price band was fixed at Rs 829-871 per share.

Dhoot Transmission IPO: Subscription

The minimum lot size for retail investors was fixed at one lot or 17 shares, which aggregated to an investment of Rs 14,807. The IPO saw overwhelming demand and was oversubscribed 74.21 times during its subscription period from August 10-12, 2026. Investors across categories placed bids for 1.85 billion compared to the net offer size of 24.90 million shares available after anchor allocations.

The qualified institutional buyers (QIB) category led the charge, being subscribed a staggering 212.92 times. The non-institutional investors (NII) quota was booked 51.93 times, while the retail investor category was subscribed 8.12 times. Employees of the company booked their quota 8.14 times.

Dhoot Transmission: Promoters

The promoters and existing shareholders of the wiring harness manufacturer, backed by entities like Bain Capital, diluted a portion of their stakes through the OFS. Following the listing of the stock, the overall promoter and investor shareholding was reduced to 82.78 per cent.

Dhoot Transmission: Listed Peers

Following its successful market debut, shares of Dhoot Transmission will trade alongside peers in the Indian auto components and electrical equipment manufacturing sector. With a 41 per cent market share in India's two-wheeler and three-wheeler wiring harness market, Dhoot Transmission’s performance and valuation will be closely tracked and compared against other listed peers such as, Minda Corporation, Uno Minda, Motherson Sumi Wiring India and Sona BLW Precision Forgings.

Dhoot Transmission IPO: Objective

Dhoot Transmission will use the net proceeds from the fresh issue to repay or prepay outstanding borrowings, invest in its subsidiaries (including Dhoot Auto-components and Dhoot Transmission UK), set up new wiring harness manufacturing plants in Jhajjar (Haryana) and Hosur (Tamil Nadu), and fund inorganic growth and general corporate purposes.

At the time of writing, shares of Dhoot Transmission were trading at Rs 1,175 apiece down by 2.08 per cent on the NSE and at Rs 1201.70 apiece up by 0.66 per cent on the BSE.
