The National Stock Exchange (NSE), on April 24, 2025, announced on the social media platform X (Formerly Twitter) that the bourse will be donating Rs 1 crore to every family of the victims who were murdered during the Pahalgam terror attack. 

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic terrorist attack in Kashmir on April 22, 2025, where 26 people lost their lives. In a humble gesture of support, NSE pledges Rs 1 crore to the next of kin of the victims, standing in solidarity with their families during this difficult time," NSE CEO Ashish Chauhan wrote on X.

Echoing Chauhan's sentiment, Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director, Mukesh Ambani, has also announced free-of-cost treatment for the injured victims at Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai.

"We wish a speedy and full recovery to all those injured in the attack. Our Reliance Foundation Sir HN Hospital in Mumbai will offer free treatment to all the injured," ANI quoted Ambani.

Additionally, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh for every family of the deceased in the Pahalgam terror attack. Meanwhile, Rs 2 lakh relief was pledged for severely injured persons, and Rs 1 lakh has been announced for persons with relatively low injuries.

On Tuesday, April 22, terrorists shot tourists in Kashmir's popular spot, Pahalgam. The attack was carried out in Baisaran, which is also popularly known as 'mini Switzerland'. The terror attack ended up with 26 people dead, which included two foreigners and one businessman from Karnataka.

It is considered the deadliest attack in the valley after the 2019 Pulwama attack, as per various media reports. This happened just when the tourist and trekking season started to pick up.

Following the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X, "I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected. Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice...they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable, and it will get even stronger."
