IndianOil launches four-hour LPG cylinder delivery service.
10 kg and 5 kg cylinders included initially.
Service starts in four cities, with nationwide expansion planned.
State-owned oil marketing company IndianOil has introduced Indane XTRALITE NOW, an express liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) delivery service that promises delivery of LPG cylinders within four hours of booking. The company has extended this service to the 10-kg composite of LPG and the popular 5 kg Indane Chhotu cylinder. This makes it a significant push towards faster and more convenient cooking gas delivery for consumers.
According to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry, the new initiative aims to improve customer convenience by combining quick delivery, digital bookings, preferred delivery slots and enhanced transparency in the LPG distribution process. IndianOil announced this rollout through its official social media platforms, terming the move as another step towards redefining the LPG customer experience.
This newly introduced Indane XTRALITE NOW features a 10 kg composite LPG cylinder, which is comparatively lighter than the conventional steel cylinders. The cylinders under this scheme are rust-free, easier and lighter to carry and transport from one place to another. These cylinders are designed for greater convenience in households, especially for senior citizens, working professionals, and customers who are looking for smaller and portable cooking solutions.
How Is This New Model More Convenient?
Customers booking the cylinders can choose their preferred delivery time slots, while the booking process has been integrated with IndianOil’s digital platforms in order to simplify the ordering and tracking process. The express delivery model has been launched with the aim of reducing the waiting time and making LPG refills more predictable and less tedious. The oil company has also introduced a four-hour delivery for the 5-kg Indane Chhotu cylinder, which is a compact LPG cylinder widely used by students, small households, food stalls, and commercial users who require portable gas. The launch of this aligns with IndianOil’s goal of including digital and technological advancements in LPG products.
Cities Where The 4-Hour Delivery Service Is Available
This feature of express delivery is concentrated in Pune, Gurugram, Indore, and Coimbatore for now. However, according to the Press Information Bureau, this service is expected to expand across the country by mid-August 2026, which will enable more customers to benefit from faster and more convenient LPG deliveries.
With rising demand and supply lines being affected by the consequences of global tensions, the launch of Indane XTRALITE NOW is expected to ease deliveries, provide convenience and provide flexible deliveries to those who are in need. With the digital-first model, this feature is easily available and convenient to use.
