Apple is set to start the pre-order bookings of its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, in India, on October 16, 2026. The device comes with separate outer and inner displays and can be used both folded and unfolded. Pre-orders will open at 5:30 PM IST, according to Apple’s website, while availability is scheduled to begin on October 23, 2026.

The iPhone Duo is listed in four storage variants, with prices starting at Rs 2,99,900 for the 256GB model and going up to Rs 4,49,900 for the 2TB variant. The 512GB version is priced at Rs 3,24,900, while the 1TB model costs Rs 3,74,900. All prices are inclusive of taxes.
Apple’s website lists up to six months of no-cost equated monthly instalment (EMI), subject to the applicable terms. Eligible American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cardholders can also get instant cashback. The listed cashback for the iPhone Duo is Rs 7,000.
iPhone Duo Features And Specifications
The iPhone Duo has a 19.26 cm (7.6-inch) Super Retina XDR inner display, alongside an outer display that can be used when the phone is folded. Apple says the unfolded display is 50 per cent larger than that of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, while the outer display offers more than 90 per cent of the screen area of the iPhone 18 Pro.
The inner display features a nano-texture finish designed to reduce glare and an under-display FaceTime camera. Apple lists peak display brightness of up to 3,000 nits.
The phone runs on Apple’s A20 Pro chip, which includes a dual 16-core Neural Engine. It uses iOS 27 and supports switching between the inner and outer displays. The foldable design also allows users to position the phone at different angles.
For photography, the iPhone Duo has a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera. It also includes a 12MP Center Stage front camera and an under-display FaceTime camera. The device supports video recording at up to 4K resolution and 120 frames per second.
The IPhone Duo uses a dual-battery system. Apple claims up to 31 hours of video playback when using the inner display and up to 44 hours when using the outer display. The company also says fast wired charging can bring the battery to 50 per cent in around 20 minutes, subject to specified charging conditions.
