SAIL Share Price Today: The shares of Steel Authority of India (SAIL) extended gains for the seventh straight day on May 29, 2025. In today’s early trade, the stock gained over 2 per cent to trade at a high of Rs 131.8 apiece on the NSE. In the last seven sessions, the stock has climbed over 8 per cent from its closing price of Rs 122.11 per share on May 19.
SAIL share price gained in today’s trade after the public sector company announced its results for the March quarter and full fiscal FY 2024-25.
SAIL Q4 Results
The company's consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter ending March 31, 2025 surged by nearly 5 per cent to Rs 29,316.14 crore from Rs 27,958.52 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations for Q4 FY 25 also grew by over 19 per cent from Rs 24,489.91 crore in the previous quarter. The company’s revenue from operations for FY 2024-25 also decreased by nearly 3 per cent to Rs 1,02,479.06 crore compared to Rs 1,05,378.33 crore in the preceding fiscal.
In the March quarter of FY 2024-25, the public sector company’s consolidated profit-after-tax (PAT) also grew by over 11 per cent to Rs 1,250.98 crore compared to Rs 1,125.66 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. SAIL’s PAT for the full fiscal (FY 2024-25) fell by over 22 per cent to Rs 2,371.8 crore compared to Rs 3,066.67 crore in the preceding year.
SAIL Dividend
On May 28, 2029, SAIL informed the exchanges via a regulatory filing that its board of directors have approved a final dividend of Rs 1.6 per equity share with a face value of Rs 10. If approved by the shareholders of the company, the payout percentage of the final dividend will be 16 per cent.
“The Board of Directors has recommended final dividend at Rs 1.6 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the financial year 2024-25, subject to approval of shareholders in the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the company,” SAIL said.

Last year, shares of SAIL declined over 20 per cent on the NSE. So far, in 2025, the stock has traded higher by more than 15 per cent. In the last six months, the stock has gained over 11 per cent. In a month, shares of the steel sector major have climbed nearly 11 per cent. In five days, the state owned company’s stock has gained 3 per cent.
At the time of writing, SAIL shares were trading higher by 0.68 per cent at Rs 129.84 apiece on the NSE.
