Sebi Vs Jane Street Hearing
The Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) will hear the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi)–Jane Street case on November 18, 2025. The Tribunal had earlier asked Sebi to file its reply after Jane Street appealed against an interim order that barred it from trading in Indian markets and required it to submit a large escrow deposit.
The firm has already deposited the amount and is contesting the order. Sebi is expected to submit its response by the next hearing.
US Macro Data Releases
After the end of the 43-day-long US government shutdown, government agencies are set to release several key macroeconomic data in the coming week. These include existing home sales data on November 20, and manufacturing and services PMI data on November 21.
India-US Trade Deal
The United States last week said that negotiations on the long-pending trade deal with India are finally gaining momentum. A senior US official had told ANI that recent rounds of discussions have been positive and both sides are showing greater cooperation and alignment on key issues. The UK will release its October consumer price index (CPI) data on November 19, 2025, at 7:00 GMT (12:30 IST). The eurozone’s final October CPI print is also due the same day at 10:00 GMT (15:30 IST). Market participants will be tracking both the releases to gauge the monetary policy outlook of the respective central banks.
FOMC Meeting Minutes
The US Federal Reserve’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) will release the minutes of its October 28-29 meeting on November 19, where policymakers cut the benchmark rate to the 3.75-4.00 per cent range.
