Stock Market News: The Sensex and Nifty closed the session in the green on November 14, extending gains for the fifth straight session. The Sensex closed in the green at 84,562.78, up by 84.11 points or 0.10 per cent, while the Nifty 50 closed the session at 25,910.05, with gains of around 30.9 points or 0.12 per cent.

On November 14, 2025, the Sensex slipped to an intra-day low of 84,029.32 and the Nifty 50 slipped to 25,740.80. However, the headline indices posted a sharp recovery, with the Sensex gaining 0.63 per cent, and the Nifty 50 gaining 0.65 per cent from the day’s lows. The sharp recovery followed the counting of votes for the Bihar elections hinting towards a victory for the NDA. The likelihood of the alliance remaining in power boosted investor sentiment.

Other factors, such as a positive gross domestic product (GDP) outlook shared by Moody’s also lifted investor sentiment. The rating agency projected that India’s economy will grow at 6.50 per cent through 2027.

TMCV and Eternal Emerge As Top Gainers

Shares of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles and Eternal led the gainers among the Nifty 50 stocks, as they closed higher by 3.20 per cent and 1.15 per cent, respectively, on the NSE. Shares of Bharat Electronics, Axis Bank and Trent also closed the session with gains of 1.52 to 1.60 per cent on the NSE. On November 14, a total of 30 constituents of the Nifty 50 advanced, while 20 declined.

Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Pharma Gain

Sectoral indices gained on November 14, and the Nifty PSU Bank and the Nifty Pharma emerged as the top-gainers. The Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Pharma closed the session higher by 1.17 per cent and 0.59 per cent, respectively. The broader market indices also ended the session with gains, as the Nifty MidCap 100 and the Nifty SmallCap 100 closed higher by 0.08 per cent and 0.38 per cent, respectively.

Global Markets On November 14

On November 14, Asian indices closed the session with broad-based declines. The Hang Seng and the Nikkei 225 closed the session lower by 1.80 per cent each. On the other hand, the KOSPI and the Shanghai Composite fell 3.97 per cent and 0.98 per cent, respectively. The indices witnessed declines amid declines in US technology stocks, doubts about future interest rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve, and weaker-than-expected economic data from China.

Primary Market Action

The share allotment of the Emmvee Photovoltaic Power and Physicswallah initial public offerings (IPOs) will be finalised today. The public issue of Capillary Technologies opened for subscription today. Shares of Pine Labs listed on the exchanges with gains of 9.50 per cent. Fujiyama Power Systems IPO and Tenneco Clean Air India IPO continued to garner investor interest.

The Sensex and the Nifty ended the week on a positive note. In the coming week, the outcome of the Bihar polls, announcements related to a Federal Reserve rate cut and developments related to the signing of an India-US trade deal are expected to impact investor sentiment.
