Sensex and Nifty finished the session in the green on November 13 for the fourth straight day. The Sensex finished flat at 84,478.67, up by 12.16 points or 0.01 per cent, and the Nifty 50 finished at 25,879.15, up by 3.35 points or 0.01 per cent.
Earlier today, the Sensex and Nifty surged 0.52 per cent and 0.53 per cent to intraday highs of 84,919.43 and 26,010.70, respectively. However, the indices pared the gains in the penultimate hour. The gains made by the indices followed easing retail inflation, exporters’ policy support package, and the end of the corporate earnings season.
Asian Paints and Hindalco Lead Gainers
Shares of Asian Paints and Hindalco Ltd emerged as top-gainers among constituents of the Nifty 50 as they closed higher by 3.77 per cent and 2.47 per cent, respectively, on the NSE. Other major gainers included Interglobe Aviation Ltd, ICICI Bank, and Larsen and Toubro, which finished the session higher by as much as 1.99 per cent.
Nifty Metal and Nifty Realty Gain
Sectoral indices gained on November 13, with Nifty Metal and Nifty Realty emerging as top gainers. Nifty Metal index and Nifty Realty finished higher by 0.44 per cent and 0.42 per cent, respectively. However, the broader market finished the session lower with the Nifty MidCap 100 and the Nifty SmallCap 100 closing lower by 0.35 per cent and 0.37 per cent, respectively.
Global Markets On November 13
On November 13, Asian indices finished the session with gains as Japan’s Nikkei 225 and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng closed higher by 0.25 per cent and 0.55 per cent, respectively. On the other hand, the KOSPI and the Shanghai Composite finished the session with gains of 0.49 per cent and 0.73 per cent, respectively.

Market Outlook
