The Ladli Behna Yojana is one of the most prominent welfare schemes in Madhya Pradesh, designed to strengthen the financial standing of women by providing them with financial assistance and helping them improve their quality of life and decision-making power. In the latest update by NDTV India, beneficiaries have received the 32nd instalment under the scheme, which will provide them with an assistance of Rs 1,500.
What Is the Ladli Behna Yojana?
The Ladli Behna Yojana is a direct benefit transfer (DBT) scheme that is designed to offer monthly assistance to support adult women in the state. The objective of the scheme is to reduce financial dependency, improve social security, and give women more autonomy over their personal and household expenses. Under this scheme, the women eligible will receive a sum between Rs 1000 and Rs 1,500, depending on their category and updates announced by the government. This assistance is aimed at helping women manage essential needs that can, in turn, strengthen household finances.
What Is The Eligibility?
The only eligibility under the scheme is that women must be local residents of Madhya Pradesh. They can be single, married, widowed, divorced, or abandoned. The only clause is that their family's income must be under Rs 2.50 lakh. They should have their Aadhaar card, bank accounts linked with the same and a registered mobile number.
