The Haryana government has initiated the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana. The scheme was inaugurated on 25 September 2025 with an objective of providing women with consistent financial assistance. Each eligible woman will be paid Rs 2,100 monthly, which will be credited directly into her bank account under the direct benefit transfer system.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that almost 22 lakh women will be covered through this scheme. The state government has also provisioned Rs 5,000 crore in the budget for streamlined implementation and timely settlements.

Eligibility and Coverage

The scheme is meant for women aged 23 and above. Their family income should not be more than Rs 1,00,000 per year. The applicants should be residents of Haryana. If a woman gets married into Haryana, either she or her husband should have been residing in Haryana for the past 15 years.

One of the major advantages of this scheme is that there is no cap on the number of women from a household who can be covered. Multiple women belonging to the same family can enroll if they satisfy the eligibility criteria. This increased coverage is likely to cover more women under the support network.

Registration Process

To make the application process easier, the government has launched a mobile application known as the Lado Lakshmi Yojana app. Women have to download the app, register on it, and upload the documents required. The crucial documents are a Aadhaar card, residence proof, income proof, and bank account information.

After validating the details, the month-on-month aid will be credited to the account of the beneficiary directly. The government has also declared that the first instalment will be credited with effect from 1 November 2025.

Purpose of the Scheme

The Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana has been initiated to ensure women gain financial independence and stability. The Rs 2,100 monthly assistance is likely to enable families to cover daily household expenditure and lower the economic burden on low-income groups.

By undertaking digital registration and direct transfers, the government also seeks to provide transparent and efficient access to the process. The scheme is supposed to enhance women's position in families and society while making sure that the financial assistance finds its way to those in most need.
