Bitcoin prices dipped slightly on Tuesday after US President Donald Trump announced fresh tariffs on Japan and South Korea, triggering investor caution. At the time of writing, the total crypto market cap saw a marginal decline of 0.83 per cent to $3.34 trillion, even as the 24-hour trading volume increased by 11.13 per cent to $99.35 billion.

Bitcoin BTC was the most trending cryptocurrency. Its price was down by 0.85 per cent to $108,225.29. Its 24-hour trading volume was $42.71 billion. Elsewhere, Bonk BONK was the top gainer. It was up by 7.56 per cent, and its 24-hour trading volume was $1 billion. SPX6900 SPX was the top loser, and it was down by 7.95 per cent, while its 24-hour trading volume was $50.26 million.

The DeFi market cap was at $31.19 billion, Coinmarketcap.com reported.

CoinSwitch Markets Desk said, “Bitcoin pulled back roughly to between $107,886 and $108,000, retreating from intraday highs near $109,572, as markets absorbed fresh geopolitical and macro headlines after US President Trump announced tariffs on Japan and South Korea and delayed trade deadline from July 9-August 1. Ethereum also softened, trading around $2,535.72, down nearly 2 per cent from its peak of $2,585.02, though institutional interest remains solid amid steady Ethereum staking narratives and optimism around exchange-traded funds (ETFs).”

Ethereum (ETH): Ethereum prices were down by 0.96 per cent to $2,552.96. Its 24-hour trading volume was $16.42 billion, and its market dominance was 9.2 per cent.

Tether (USDT): Tether was trading at $0.9999. It was down by 0.02 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $53.64 billion. It is currently ranked third on Coinmarketcap.

Other Altcoins

Solana prices were down by 1.23 per cent to $149.46. Its 24-hour trading volume was $3.68 billion.

Avalanche AVAX was trading at $17.84, up by 2.95 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $196.58 million.

Cardano ADA was trading at $0.5742, down by 1.84 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $586.04 million.
