Largecap Funds Continue To See Outflows

Largecap funds remained an exception to the broader recovery in equity flows.

The category recorded an outflow of Rs 1,147.36 crore in August, narrower than the Rs 1,321.69 crore outflow in July.

Largecap funds had recorded their first monthly outflow in nearly three years in July. The category had attracted Rs 2,067.48 crore in June before turning negative in July.

Equity ETFs attracted Rs 7,237.49 crore in August. This cannot be directly compared with the Rs 9,512.05 crore reported for Other ETFs in July because the July figure included different types of ETFs.
