Market Cues For Today: On November 4, the Gift Nifty opened marginally higher but soon slipped close to the 25867.5 levels down by 26.5 points or 0.1 per cent. The benchmark indices are expected to open lower tracking the movement of the Gift Nifty. Earlier on November 3, the Sensex and the Nifty managed to snap a two-session losing streak.

On November 3, the Nifty 50 traded higher by 0.31 per cent to hit an intraday high at 25,803.1 levels. On the other hand the Sensex gained 0.22 per cent to trade at 84,127 levels. The Nifty 50 closed at 25,763.35 up by 0.17 per cent and the Sensex closed at 83,978.49 up by 0.047 per cent.

Stock Market Cues On November 4

On November 4, D-street is set to react to several overnight changes such as the release of the HSBC Manufacturing PMI data, fluctuations in key commodity prices, the announcement of Q2 results and institutional outflows:

HSBC Manufacturing PMI

The HSBC India Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index data for the month of October was released on November 3. In October manufacturing activity accelerated to 59.2 led by robust growth in demand and boosted by Goods and Services Tax rate reductions. Notably, the PMI for October increased from 57.7 in September. Typically an increase in the manufacturing PMI is interpreted as a positive signal for D-Street and translates to a positive outlook for the stock market.

Q2 Results Today

Over 120 companies are scheduled to announce their Q2 results in India today, November 4, 2025. Some of the major firms which are expected to announce their financial results today include State Bank of India (SBI), Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), One97 Communications (Paytm), InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo), Suzlon Energy and Berger Paints India.

FII Outflows

Foreign institutional investors remained net sellers on November 3 selling Indian equities worth Rs 1,883.78 crore. On the other hand, domestic institutional investors purchased Indian equities worth Rs 3,516.36 crore. So far FIIs have remained net sellers of Indian equities for four straight months while DII buying has remained consistent.

Crude Oil Prices On November 4

Crude oil prices slipped in the early hours of November 4, the price of Brent Crude remained around $64.68 down by $0.2 or 0.31 per cent and the price of West Texas Intermediate crude remained around $65.6 down by $0.2 or 0.33 per cent.

Gold Rate On November 4

Gold prices inched upwards in the early hours of November 4, the price of 24 karat gold remained around Rs 12,318 per gram, the price of 22 karat gold was around Rs 11,291 per gram and the price of 18 karat remained around Rs 9,239 per gram.

Asian Indices Trade Lower

On November 4, Japan’s Nikkei 225, South Korea’s KOSPI and China’s Shanghai Composite witnessed declines of 0.03 per cent, 1.53 per cent and 0.2 per cent respectively. However, the Hang Seng index witnessed a decline of 0.36 per cent.

US Market Indices

US market indices such as the Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 finished in the green on November 3, closing higher by 0.46 per cent and 0.17 per cent respectively. On the other hand the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended lower by 0.48 per cent.
