Share Market Today: The benchmark indices are expected to start the week on a negative note amid weak global cues. On July 14 investors are expected to remain cautious amid new developments related to Trump’s tariff announcements, a rise in commodity prices and other market related developments. Domestic factors such as the announcement of financial results by major companies amid the ongoing earnings season are also expected to impact the market.
Earlier on July 11 the headline indices closed lower for the third consecutive session. The 30-share Sensex finished at 82,500.47 down by 0.83 per cent and the Nifty finished the session down by 0.81 per cent.

Trump’s Tariffs and Russia Announcement
On July 12, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he will impose 30 per cent trade tariffs on the European Union and Mexico. On the other hand the US President is also expected to make an announcement related to Russia today. Earlier on July 9, Trump said in a cabinet meeting that he plans to back a bill which seeks to put 500 per cent tariffs on countries which trade with Russia in energy products.
Crude Oil Prices On July 14
Crude oil prices gained on July 14 as the West Texas Intermediate traded around $68.56 up by $0.11 or 0.16 per cent. On the other hand Brent Crude prices jumped $0.1 or 0.14 per cent to $70.47.

Gold Rate On July 14
Gold prices traded close to the Rs 1 lakh per 10 gram price. On July 14, the price of one gram of 24 karat gold was Rs 9,970, the price of one gram of 22 karat gold was Rs 9,139 and the price of one gram of 18 karat gold was Rs 7,478. Gold prices are rising amid a surge in the demand for safe-haven assets.
Stocks To Watch On July 14
The Q1 FY26 earnings season has begun and HCL Technologies, Ola Electric Mobility, Tata Technologies, Tejas Networks, Nelco, Rallis India, Authum Investment, Den Networks are scheduled to release their quarterly earnings on July 14.

US Markets Finish Higher
On July 11, US Market indices ended in the red slipping up to 0.63 per cent. The Nasdaq Composite finished the session at 20,585.53 down by 45.14 points or 0.22 per cent. On the other hand the S&P 500 closed at 6,259.75 down by 20.71 points or 0.33 per cent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined the most closing lower at 279.13 points or 0.63 per cent at 44,371.51.
Asian Indices Trade Mixed On July 14
The Nikkei 225, Hang Seng and the KOSPI opened in the red on July 14, conversely the Shanghai Composite opened higher. At the time of writing Hang Seng, Shanghai Composite and KOSPI traded higher by up to 0.47 per cent. However the Nikkei 225 traded lower at 39,470.85 down by 98.83 points or 0.25 per cent.
