Stock Market Holidays: Indian stock market investors witnessed a lot of volatility in the four trading sessions between April 7 and April 12, 2025.

Several key decisions, such as the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI’s) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) rate cut and US President Donald Trump’s announcement to pause the reciprocal tariffs for 90 days cheered the mood of the market in the second half of the week.

Following an eventful week, stock market investors are all set to witness a truncated trading week, as the the BSE and the NSE, will remain closed on two days in the upcoming week. A week in which there are fewer than five trading days is called a ‘truncated week’.
