NSE IPO Offer Size And Selling Shareholders
The IPO consists only of an offer-for-sale of 126.4 million shares aggregating to Rs 22,561.57 crore. The selling shareholders in the OFS include State Bank of India, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Aranda Investments (Mauritius), MS Strategic (Mauritius) Limited, and The New India Assurance Company among others.
NSE IPO Price Band And Lot Size
NSE has set the price band for its public issue at Rs 1,700 to Rs 1,785 per share. Retail investors can apply for a minimum lot of 8 shares, amounting to an investment of Rs 14,280. Small non-institutional investors (sNIIs) can apply for a minimum of 15 lots or 120 shares, aggregating to Rs 2,14,200, while big NIIs (bNIIs) have to bid for a minimum of 71 lots or 568 shares, amounting to Rs 10,13,880.
NSE IPO Reservation
The exchange has reserved not more than 50 per cent of the offer for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), not less than 15 per cent for NIIs, and not less than 35 per cent of the offer for retail individual investors (RIIs). There is also an employee reservation portion.

The current trends in the grey market premium (GMP) for NSE shares indicate a premium of Rs 208 to 218 above the upper end of the price band. Since the upper end of the price band is Rs 1,785, the estimated listing price for the stock is Rs 2,003, indicating a potential gain of 12.21 per cent.

The exchange's total income stood at Rs 18,713.37 crore in the financial year ended March 31, 2026, down by 2 per cent compared to Rs 19,176.83 crore in the preceding fiscal. The exchange posted a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 10,302.06 crore in the same period. However on a year-on-year basis the PAT declined by 15.47 per cent compared to the preceding fiscal, in which it posted a PAT of Rs 12,187.69 crore. In the quarter ended June 30, 2026 the company’s total income stood at Rs 5,252.17 crore and its PAT stood at Rs 3,120.08 crore.
NSE Business Model
NSE operates as a Market Infrastructure Institution (MII). The exchange provides a screen based trading system and also provides clearing and settlement services, colocation facilities, index licensing, and data feed and terminal services. The exchange earns revenue based on transaction charges from trades executed across the cash market, equity derivatives, currency derivatives, and interest rate futures, along with listing fees from listed entities, data centre rack charges, and licensing services.
