The subscription window of the National Stock Exchange of India's (NSE) initial public offering (IPO) is scheduled to open on September 17 and close on September 21. Notably, the price band for the much awaited public issue has been announced on September 11.

Ahead of the bidding, the grey market premium (GMP) for NSE's shares hints at a positive debut for the stock. Here is a look at some of the key details related to the public issue:

NSE IPO Price Band

The price band for NSE IPO has been fixed between Rs 1,700 and Rs 1,785 per share. The minimum lot size for retail individual investors is set at 8 shares, requiring a minimum investment of Rs 14,280 at the upper price band.

NSE IPO: GMP

The grey market premium for NSE shares hovered around Rs 189 to 190 per share, according to platforms tracking the unlisted market. NSE shares are expected to make a debut with estimated gains of around 10.64 per cent at Rs 1,975 per share. However, investors must note that grey market trends are speculative and the actual listing price depends on multiple factors such as the demand for the company's shares, its fundamentals and the overall investor sentiment around the public issue.

NSE IPO: Issue Size

NSE seeks to raise Rs 22,561.57 crore from its public issue, which is an entirely offer for sale (OFS) of 126.44 million equity shares.

NSE IPO: Reservation

The public issue allocates not more than 50 per cent of the net offer to Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs). Additionally, not less than 35 per cent of the net offer is reserved for Retail Individual Investors (RIIs), while not less than 15 per cent of the net issue is set aside for Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs).

NSE IPO: Subscription Dates and Listing Date

NSE IPO subscription window will open on September 17, 2026, and close on September 21, 2026. The basis of allotment is expected to be finalized on September 22, 2026. NSE will initiate refunds and credit shares to demat accounts on September 23, 2026. The shares are scheduled to list on the BSE on September 24, 2026.

NSE: Financials

NSE posted a total income of Rs 18,713.37 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, compared to Rs 19,176.83 crore in the preceding fiscal. The company reported a profit after tax of Rs 10,302.06 crore in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, compared to Rs 12,187.69 crore in the preceding fiscal.
