HDB Financial IPO Listing: HDB Financial Services Limited shares made their debut on the NSE and BSE on July 2 with modest gains. HDB Financial Services shares listed on the NSE and BSE at Rs 835 apiece, up 12.38 per cent compared to the upper end of the public issue’s price band of Rs 740 apiece. The stock soon surged 14.84 per cent to trade at an early high of Rs 849.85 apiece.

Retail investors who were allotted at least one lot or 20 shares would have made a minimum profit of Rs 1,900 (Rs 835- Rs 740 x 20) after the stock started trading on the exchange. After the stock began to trade, 391.03 lakh shares of the company changed hands on the NSE. The company's total market capitalisation stood at Rs 69,683.61 crore.

HDB Financial Services IPO: Details

HDB Financial Services IPO was worth Rs 12,500.00 crore. The book-built issue consisted of a fresh issuance of 3.38 crore shares amounting to Rs 2,500 crore along with an offer-for-sale component of 13.51 crore shares worth Rs 10,000.00 crore. HDB Financial Services IPO price band was set between Rs 700 to Rs 740 per share.

The minimum lot size for application for retail investors was fixed at 1 lot or 20 shares, which aggregated to an investment of Rs 14,000. HDB Financial Services IPO was booked 16.69 times during the three-day bidding window which opened on June 24 and closed on June 27. Investors across categories placed bids for over 217.67 crore shares compared to the 13.04 crore shares offered for subscription. The non-institutional investors (NII) quota of HDB Financial Services IPO was booked 9.99 times.

The HDB Financial Services IPO was booked 1.41 times in the retail individual investor category. The mainboard issue was booked 55.47 times in the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) category. HDB Financial Services IPO was booked 4.26 times in the shareholder’s quota and 5.72 times in the employees category.

HDB Financial Services plans to use the money raised via the public issue for enhancing its existing apital base to meet its capital requirements. HDB Financial Services is a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) and is also engaged in providing back-office support services to its parent company HDFC Bank.

At the time of writing shares of HDB Financial Services shares traded at Rs 831.8 apiece down by 0.38 per cent.
