e-KYC mandatory to receive future instalments.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme is one of the government’s income-support schemes. This scheme is for the welfare of farmers in India. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers who are eligible receive Rs 6,000 annually in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 delivered quarterly. This amount is directly transferred into their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer system (DBT). The 22nd instalment is expected to release on March 13, 2026. The government has introduced a compliance that farmers must understand and follow in order to receive the future payments. PM-KISAN payments are generally released every four months.
Today marks an important day for farmers as more than Rs 18,640 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of over 93.2 million farmer families across the country.
How To Receive And Check The Status?
In order to benefit from this scheme, one must register on the official PM Kisan portal. It is crucial for farmers to complete the e-KYC; the instalments can be delayed.
Here is how you can register yourself,
Visit the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi website and navigate to the KYC section.
Enter your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number.
Submit after verification with OTP.
If one does not receive the amount, they can reach out to their helpline number.
Check The Beneficiary List
Farmers who wish to confirm their eligibility for the 22nd instalment can check their statement on the official PM KISAN website. On the portal, they can hover over the beneficiary status or under the Know Your Status sections. By entering their KYC details like Aadhaar number, mobile number, or bank account number, farmers can view their payment status and verify their names through the beneficiary list.
The portal allows the users to check additional information, including land records, Aadhaar status and e-KYC completion. If a farmer's name is absent from the list, it can be due to issues like incomplete e-KYC, Aadhaar mismatch or even pending land verification.
The PM-KISAN instalment is quite significant for farmers as the amount not only helps them in their agricultural produce, but also helps them ease out their sustenance. With the step of making Farmer ID and e-KYC compulsory, the government focuses on making sure the government funds reach the right and eligible farmers.
