The Telangana government has launched the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme 2025 to encourage self-employment and entrepreneurship among youth from the underprivileged backgrounds, namely, SC, ST, backward caste, and minority groups. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced the Rs 6,000 crore plan aimed at promoting self-employment and economic development for youth from these communities. 

The online application process for the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme 2025 started on March 15, 2025 and will continue till April 4, 2025. Interested candidates must apply online within these dates. The application scrutiny and/or eligibility screening period is from April 6 – May 31, 2025, and the loan sanction date has been fixed for June 2, 2025, which is the Telangana Formation Day. 

Eligible youth from Telangana can avail of concessional loans and subsidies of up to Rs 3 lakh to start their own enterprises or self-employment initiatives. The initiative seeks to increase economic growth and reduce unemployment by providing the youth from these underprivileged backgrounds with the resources they need to set up their own entrepreneurial ventures. 

Highlights of Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme 

Here are the highlights of the scheme. 

  • The scheme provides financial assistance to youth from the SC, ST, backward castes, and minority communities for starting self-employment ventures. 

  • It offers loans up to Rs 3 lakh to promote entrepreneurship and economic growth. 

  • The application process is online and the loan will be sanctioned to the beneficiaries on June 2, which is also the Telangana Formation Day. 

  • The maximum subsidies range from 60-80 per cent depending on the loan category. 

Eligibility Criteria for the Scheme 

  • The scheme requires applicants to be permanent residents of Telangana. The candidate must be aged between 18 and 35 years and must belong to the SC, ST, backward castes or minority groups.  

  • The financial assistance will be provided only for self-employment ventures. The selection process involves three stages. 

  • The scheme will select eligible candidates based on their application forms, supporting documents, and financial plans. 

  • The application will be evaluated by a committee, after which successful candidates will be notified. 

Categories of Loans For Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme 

The Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme 2025 provides three loan categories with varied subsidy levels to enable candidates to start their own ventures. Loans are as follows: 

Under Category 1, loans of up to Rs 1 lakh with an 80 per cent subsidy is provided to the eligible candidates. The recipient will cover the remaining 20 either themselves or arrange it through a bank loan

Category 2 loans range from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, with a 70 per cent subsidy offered to the eligible candidates. 

Under Category 3, loans up to Rs 3 lakh is provided with a 60 per cent subsidy. 

This three-tiered strategy guarantees that young people from all backgrounds are covered and can have adequate financial help to launch their small businesses. 

Application Process for Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme Telangana 2025 

Interested candidates can apply online for the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme 2025 by following these steps: 

  • Visit the official portal: tgobmms.cgg.gov.in 

  • Click on ‘Apply Now’ and register by creating credentials of your personal details. 

  • Log in using the registered credentials you have created with your personal details and complete the application form. 

  • Submit necessary documents for verification, including identity proof, community certificate, and income certificate. 

  • Once the application is filled, click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the process.
