With the 2025 Union Budget fast approaching, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has outlined important details about the upcoming budget session. According to a video shared by ANI on X, Meghwal confirmed that President Droupadi Murmu will address both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on January 31, officially opening the session.

Following the President’s address, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on February 1. The first phase of the budget session will run until February 13, during which discussions will be held on the budget proposals. Once the budget is presented, Finance Minister Sitharaman will reply to the debate by addressing MPs' concerns and remarks. This phase is important for MPs to voice their views and concerns regarding the nation's financial plan.

After February 13, Parliament will break for recess, lasting until March 10. During this period, MPs will have time to review and analyze the budget proposals in detail. The second part of the session will start on March 10 and continue till April 4, with a focus on business and legislative issues.

Union Minister Meghwal also appealed to the opposition, "We urge the opposition to ensure that discussions in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha allow new MPs the opportunity to raise their concerns. This will help the House function smoothly and benefit both the ruling party and the opposition." This strategy will support an effective and collaborative discussion during the budget session. The two-phase structure benefits all participants by providing enough time for review and debate.
