The Haryana Government increased the social security pension for various segments of society on February 12, 2026. The state government announced an increase of Rs 200 per month in several monthly pension and financial assistance programmes run by the government. For eligible senior citizens, the old age pension has been increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,200, effective November 1, 2025. The increase in financial support for all segments is applicable with retrospective effect from November 1 of the previous year.
The Department of Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, and Antyodaya (SEWA) issued a notification regarding this, per PTI, according to which the increased payout will begin from this month.
Here are the details of the schemes with higher payout applicable.
Old Age Samman Allowance
The scheme offers an old-age pension to the elderly aged 60 years or above. The beneficiaries are from the poor section of society, including rural artisans, agricultural labourers, small farmers, etc.
Under the scheme, their pension has been increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,200.
Ladli Social Security Pension
This scheme provides a monthly pension to families having only a girl child/children. The gross income of the family should not be more than Rs 2 lakh. The Ladli Pension benefit is given for 15 years from the date of either of the parents attaining 45 years of age. The benefit is paid to the mother, and if she is deceased, to the father.
The amount has been increased to Rs 3,200 per month from Rs 3,000 earlier.
Pension For Persons With Disabilities
This is for persons with disabilities, including blindness, low vision, hearing impairment, locomotor disability, leprosy cured, mental illness or retardation, etc. The disability should be in the range of 60-100 per cent, and the person should be 18 years or above to get a pension under the scheme.
The monthly pension has been increased to Rs 3,200.
Pension For Dwarfs And Eunuchs
The pension amount is raised from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,200 per month. The dwarfs (a male person of height 3 feet 8 inches or less and a female of height 3 feet 3 inches or less) are eligible for it.
Eunuchs living in the different parts of Haryana are also eligible for a monthly pension of Rs 3,200 after the latest increase. They should be 18 years of age or older.
Both dwarfs and eunuch applicants need to provide a certificate from a civil surgeon confirming they are a dwarf or eunuch.
Financial Assistance To Widows, Destitute Women
The pension amount for this category has become Rs 3,200 after the increase.
A woman aged 18 years and above, a domicile of Haryana, is eligible for the benefit. Such a woman should be a widow, or a destitute without husband, parents, and son(s), or a destitute due to desertion by husband or parents. Her income should not be more than Rs 3 lakh per annum.
Financial Assistance For Widowers And Unmarried Persons
A widower and unmarried persons are also eligible for this pension. If a widower aged 40 has less than Rs 3 lakh annual income, a domicile of Haryana, and living in the State for the last 15 years, can apply for this pension. A divorcee or a live-in-relationship is not eligible for the benefit.
An unmarried male or female, aged 45, whose family income is not more than Rs 1.8 lakh, is also eligible for this pension, subject to other conditions.
The assistance is the same amount as for a widow or destitute woman.
Financial Assistance For Cancer Patients, Persons Suffering From Rare Diseases, And Others
The government provides financial support to patients suffering from stage III & IV cancer, and other rare diseases specified by the government, and whose family income is less than Rs 3 lakh per annum.
Non-School-Going Differently-Abled Children
Under this scheme, the pension was earlier Rs 2,400, which is now increased to Rs 2,600 per month. This is for the 0-18-year age group. The help is provided to mentally retarded and multiple disabled children who aren’t able to attend formal education due to disability and who are totally dependent on their parents or relatives.
Destitute Children
A child under 21 years of age, who is deprived of parental support or care due to their death, continued absence from home, imprisonment for not less than one year, or mental incapacity, is eligible to receive a financial support of Rs 2,300 per month under this scheme after the revision. The government offers support of Rs 4,600 for up to two children per family.
Kashmiri Migrant Families Settled In Haryana
The State government provides a monthly pension of Rs 1,700 per person to Kashmiri migrants. Earlier, the pension was Rs 1,500 per month. The maximum limit is Rs 8,500 per month per family.
