As Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 unfolds in Prayagraj, Paytm is revolutionising the pilgrimage experience with its cutting-edge digital payment solutions. Offering a seamless and secure cashless ecosystem, Paytm has introduced a new payment gateway to ensure that pilgrims enjoy a hassle-free and enriched experience at the Maha Kumbh Mela.
Paytm has launched the ‘Bhavya Mahakumbh QR,’ a unique QR code specifically designed for Maha Kumbh merchants. This initiative aims to streamline payments and enhance the overall experience for both visitors and businesses, the company said.
Pilgrims can now make digital payments for parking, food, travel, and other experiences using Paytm UPI, UPI Lite, and card payments. Also, the service allows linking RuPay credit cards to the Paytm app for even greater convenience.

For pilgrims concerned about carrying cash in large crowded areas, Paytm’s sound boxes and card machines will enable merchants to accept instant payments, ensuring secure transactions while allowing pilgrims to fully focus on their spiritual journey.
To further enhance the experience, Paytm has also introduced the “Suraksha Aur Suvidha Ka Mahasangam” campaign, which offers pilgrims the chance to win Rs 1 crore worth of Paytm Gold and daily cashback rewards. Pilgrims can benefit from cashless transactions and get rewards for their digital transactions through a lucky draw.
Paytm said in an official release: “Maha Kumbh is a monumental event that unites millions in faith. The combined efforts of the government, Prayagraj Mela Authority, and local administration have ensured a seamless experience for all pilgrims. The city’s and merchants’ adoption of digital payments has further enabled us to contribute to this historic gathering.”
