DDA adds 1,648 affordable flats in Narela
Bookings open October 29 on a first-come, first-served basis
Buyers must deposit Rs 1 lakh per flat
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is offering 1,648 additional low-income group (LIG) flats in Narela under its Awaas Nivesh Yojana 2026. Bookings are scheduled to open on October 29, 2026. Priced at approximately Rs 14.95 lakh per unit after a 25 per cent rebate. The flats are listed on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis. Online bookings will be made accessible through the DDA’s Awaas Portal as stated in a circular.
This additional inventory comes after the flats offered during the scheme’s initial launch received a very strong response. The bookings the first time around were completed within two hours of opening. The initiative aims to expand access to affordable housing in Delhi, especially for buyers who seek lower-cost residential options. This scheme is being made available under the guidance of Delhi Lieutenant Governor and DDA Chairman Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
DDA Narela Housing Scheme: Flat Prices and Booking Details
The 1,648 flats are located in Pocket 1, Sectors G2 to G6, Narela. Each unit has nearly 49.90 square meters of plinth area. This area includes the common areas. The final price may vary depending on the actual plinth area of an individual flat and the applicable charges. Applicants will need to deposit Rs 1 lakh per flat as the booking amount. Bookings can be made through the DDA Awaas Portal under the scheme.
Applicants who have already registered on the portal do not need to register all over again. The DDA has advised the prospective buyers to read the official scheme brochures to understand the eligibility requirements, payment schedules and other terms and conditions carefully before they book.
The tentative price does not necessarily represent the complete cost of acquiring a flat. Buyers should check the applicable maintenance, water charges, and conversion charges along with any other payment obligations.
What Homebuyers Should Know
The discounted prices could make the scheme attractive to eligible buyers looking to purchase a home within a relatively modest budget. The initiative also reflects how DDA’s objective to improve access to affordable housing for buyers remains a priority.
Even though this is an affordable opportunity, applicants should also account for the additional costs beyond the advertised flat price. Maintenance charges, GST, and other charges can increase the overall expenditure from the buyer’s end.
DDA’s continued effort to roll out housing schemes indicates a long-term strategy to increase the opportunities in the affordable housing inventory. In addition to being a helping hand in converting homebuyers' dreams into successful homeownership, DDA plays a crucial role in urban development by redeveloping old buildings and improving the living conditions for many families.
DDA has advised homebuyers wanting to take part in the draw to track the updates shared by the authority to ensure a faster and safer approach to homebuying.
