SpiceJet Share Price: Airline stocks, including those of Interglobe Aviation and Spicejet, rebounded up to 5 per cent in trade on June 16, 2025 after witnessing declines in the aftermath of the air crash in Ahmedabad last week. Earlier on June 12, an Air India flight en-route London from Ahmedabad crashed soon after take-off. Following the news, shares of listed airlines such as Indigo (Interglobe Aviation) and Spicejet extended losses for two straight sessions. Shares of Spicejet declined over 3 per cent in the two sessions following the crash to trade at Rs 43.81 apiece on the BSE while shares of Interglobe Aviation declined over 6 per cent to trade at Rs 5,262 apiece on the NSE.

On June 16, 2025, shares of Spicejet rallied 5 per cent to trade at an early high of Rs 46 apiece on the BSE. On the other hand, shares of Interglobe Aviation gained over 1 per cent to trade at Rs 5,329 apiece on the NSE. Shares of Spicejet gained after the company posted strong bottom-line growth in the fourth quarter and fiscal ending March 31, 2025 and informed the exchanges about a restructuring exercise it is slated to undertake with its lessors.

SpiceJet Q4 Results

Spicejet’s consolidated profit-after-tax (PAT) for the fourth quarter of the fiscal ending March 31, 2025 grew by over 169 per cent to Rs 341.74 crore compared to Rs 126.87 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company’s PAT for the March quarter of FY 2024-25 grew by 1,585 per cent compared to a PAT of Rs 20.27 crore in the December quarter of FY 2024-25. Spicejet’s consolidated PAT for the fiscal ending March 31, 2025 stood at Rs 61.93 crore compared to a loss-after-tax of Rs 423.71 crore in the preceding fiscal.

The consolidated revenue from operations of Spicejet for the March quarter of FY25 fell by over 16 per cent to Rs 1,396 crore compared to Rs 1,663.50 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal. The airline company’s revenue from operations for the March quarter surged by over 18 per cent from Rs 1,178.8 crore in the December quarter. The company’s revenue from operations for the full fiscal decreased by over 25 per cent to Rs 5,073.7 crore compared to Rs 6,779 crore in FY 2023-24.

Spicejet Restructuring Exercise

Earlier on June 14, 2025, the airline company informed the exchanges via a separate filing that it has entered into a ‘term sheet’ with its lessor Carlyle Aviation Management. The airline plans to restructure its aircraft lease obligations which amounts to $121.17 million.

“SpiceJet (“SpiceJet” or the “Company”) and Carlyle Aviation Management (“CAML”) have entered into a term sheet (“Term Sheet”) to restructure certain aircraft lease obligations of SpiceJet aggregating to $121,176,999.65 (as of March 31, 2025), (subject to further adjustments, if any, in the case of certain events to be agreed in the definitive agreement), owed to various lessor entities managed by CAML or its affiliates (collectively, the “Lessor” or “Investor” and together with SpiceJet, the “Parties” and each, a “Party” and such restructuring, the “Transaction”),” Spicejet said in the filing.

Spicejet Share Price History

In the past one year, shares of Spicejet have declined over 20 per cent on the BSE. So far, in 2025, the stock has fallen over 22 per cent, and in the past six months, its shares have declined 25 per cent. In the past one month, the shares of Spicejet have traded lower by over 5 per cent.

At the time of writing, the shares of Spicejet pared the gains to trade at Rs 43.79 apiece on the BSE, down by 0.05 per cent. Interglobe Aviation shares were trading in the green at Rs 5,307 apiece, up by 0.86 per cent on the NSE.
