Stock Market News: The Sensex and the Nifty ended a three-day losing streak on July 30. The 30-share Sensex finished the session at 81,337.95 up by 446.93 points or 0.55 per cent. The Nifty-50 index also finished the session in the green at 24,821.1 level up by 140.2 points or 0.57 per cent.

Sectorally the Nifty Pharma and the Nifty Realty indices finished the session with the most gains closing higher by 1.37 per cent and 1.6 per cent respectively.

Several cues are expected to affect trade on D-street on July 30. Here’s a look at some of the cues expected to affect trade today:

India-US Trade Deal

Ahead of the imposition of the August 1 trade tariff deadline, US President Donald Trump has said that a trade agreement with India has not been finalised yet. While the US President had earlier said that a trade deal between India and US was being negotiated, the chances of an interim trade deal announcement being inked prior to the deadline seem less now.

US Federal Reserve Policy Decisions

The US Federal Reserve is set to announce its policy decision on July 30. While the street expects the Federal Reserve to keep lending rates unchanged, Fed chair Jerome Powell’s speech will be watched by investors for cues related to future Fed decisions.

Gold Rate Today

Gold prices are trading close to their all time high. In the early hours of July 30, the price of 24 karat gold remained around Rs 9,981 per gram. On the other hand the price of 22 karat gold was trading around Rs 9,149 per gram and the price of 18 karat gold remained around Rs 7,486 per gram.

Crude Oil Prices

The price of West Texas Intermediate crude and the price of Brent Crude edged lower on July 30. In the early hours of the day the price of West Texas Intermediate was around $69.06 down by $0.13 or 0.19 per cent. On the other hand the price of Brent Crude declined to $72.47 falling by $0.04 or 0.03 per cent.

Q1 Results On July 30

On July 30 as many as 114 companies are set to announce their financial results for the quarter ended June 30,2025. Some of the prominent names which will be announcing their financial results for the June quarter include: Tata Steel, Power Grid Corporation of India, Punjab National Bank, Hyundai Motor India, InterGlobe Aviation, Indus Towers, Aster DM Healthcare, Computer Age Management Services, CESC, Greaves Cotton, HEG, Indraprastha Gas, IIFL Finance, JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, KPIT Technologies, Navin Fluorine International, and Zydus Wellness.

Global Markets on July 30

US market indices finished the session lower on July 29 ahead of the announcement of the U.S. Federal Reserve's upcoming interest rate decision. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Nasdaq Composite finished the session lower by 0.46 per cent and 0.38 per cent respectively. On the other hand the S&P 500 finished the session lower by 0.3 per cent at 6,370.86 levels.

Asian market indices traded mixed in the early hours of July 30 as the Hang Seng traded around the 25,415.00 down by 109.45 points or 0.43 per cent. Other major Asian indices such as the KOSPI and the Shanghai Composite traded higher by 0.87 per cent and 0.52 per cent respectively.
