With only 3 days remaining, Aadhaar card holders are being reminded of updating their identity and address information—free of cost—on the official UIDAI website. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is providing this free update service until June 14, 2025, and then a fee of Rs 50 will be charged.

What is Aadhaar?

Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification number given to Indian residents. It employs biometrics (fingerprint and eye scan) and demographic data (such as name, date of birth, and address) and is an essential document used for identity verification—used extensively to open bank accounts, pay taxes, and access governmental services.
