What Happens After Submission?
Once PMAY application is submitted, Aadhaar details getchecked for redundancy before anything else in the system. If any member of the family has already used another Government housing scheme, the application is denied. Verified applications are scrutinized by local bodies, ULBs in urban areas and Gram Panchayats in rural areas, for income, property and eligibility. Upon approval, the applicant is included in the list of beneficiaries posted on the PMAY website.
For CLSS applicants, the file is sent to the selected bank. After the loan is approved, the subsidy (government subsidy of up to Rs. 1.80 lakh) is directly credited to the loan account.
