Godfrey Phillips share price surged 10 per cent to trade at a 52-week high of Rs 9881.5 apiece on the NSE. Notably shares of Godfrey Phillips have extended gains for the second straight day and have rallied nearly 13 per cent in the two session winning streak.

Godfrey Phillips share price is gaining as the company has posted strong bottom line growth in the quarter ended June 30 of FY 2025-26. Godfrey Phillips has also announced its first ever bonus issue. The bonus issue will be done in the 2:1 ratio.

Godfrey Phillips Q1 Results

Godfrey Phillips consolidated profit-after-tax for the June quarter of FY 2025-26 grew by over 55 per cent to Rs 356.28 crore from Rs 228.55 crore in the June quarter of FY 2024-25. Sequentially, the company’s consolidated profit after tax increased by over 27 per cent compared to Rs 279.61 crore in the March quarter of FY 2024-25.

Godfrey Phillips total income for the quarter ended June 30, 2025 stood at Rs 1889.97 crore growing by over 34 per cent from Rs 1403.63 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal. On a quarter-on-quarter basis the company’s total income fell by nearly 4 per cent from Rs 1965.43 crore in the March quarter of FY 2024-25.

Godfrey Phillips Bonus Issue

On August 4, Godfrey Phillips declared a bonus and a final dividend via an exchange filing dated August 4. Godfrey Phillips announced a bonus issue in the 2:1 ratio. As a part of Godfrey Phillips bonus issue, eligible shareholders of the company will get two new fully paid bonus shares for every share held by them on the record date. Notably this is Godfrey Phillips first ever bonus issue and the stock has no prior bonus history.

“Issuance of Bonus Equity Shares in the proportion of 2:1 viz., 2 (Two) new fully paid-up Bonus Equity Shares of Rs. 2/- (Rupees Two) each for every 1 (One) existing fully paid-up Equity Share of Rs. 2/- (Rupees Two) each by capitalisation of General Reserves and/or Retained Earnings,” Godfrey Phillips said in a filing.

The company added that the record date for deciding the eligibility of shareholders for the bonus issue is September 16, 2025. As a part of the bonus issue the authorised share capital of the company will increase from Rs 25 crore to Rs. 50 crore.

The cigarette maker also declared a final dividend of Rs 60 per share on August 4. The record date for deciding the eligibility of shareholders to receive the dividend is August 22, 2025.

In the past year Godfrey Phillips share price has surged 138 per cent on the NSE. On a year-to-date basis the tobacco products maker’s shares have climbed nearly 89 per cent on the NSE. In the past six months shares of Godfrey Phillips India have rallied more than 110 per cent. Shares of Godfrey Phillips India have gained more than 9 per cent in the past one month. In the last five days shares of Godfrey Phillips India have surged nearly 5 per cent.

At the time of writing shares of Godfrey Phillips traded around Rs 9,813 apiece up by 9.23 per cent on the NSE.
