Indian stock markets extended a winning streak on September 10. The BSE-Sensex closed at 81,425.15 levels gaining 323.83 points at the close or 0.4 per cent. On the other hand the Nifty 50 index closed at 24,973.1 levels up by 104 points or 0.42 per cent.
Top Gainers And Losers On September 10
As many as 35 out of the 50 constituents of the Nifty 50 index closed in the green. On the other hand 15 constituents of the index closed in the red. Bharat Electronics Ltd, Wipro, HCL Technologies shares gained the most among Nifty 50 constituents closing up to 4.58 per cent higher. On the other hand shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki India ltd and Hero Motocorp closed lower by as much as 2.36 per cent.
Nifty IT Gains, Nifty Auto Down
The Nifty Auto index fell the most among all sectoral indices as it extended losses for the second straight day and slipped 1.28 per cent at the close. The Nifty IT index emerged as the biggest gainer among all sectoral indices and finished the session higher by 2.63 per cent. The broader market indices continued to gain for the second straight day as the Nifty SmallCap 100 and the Nifty MidCap 100 finished the session with gains of 0.93 per cent and 0.73 per cent respectively.
Global Markets
On September 9, Wall street indices such as the S&P 500, Dow Jones Index and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.27 per cent, 0.43 per cent and 0.37 per cent respectively. Asian indices such as Japan’s Nikkei closed higher by 0.7 per cent while the Shanghai Composite and the Hang Seng index closed higher by 0.13 per cent and 1.11 per cent respectively.
Primary Market Action
The public issues of three companies opened for subscription on September 10. These included Dev Accelerator IPO, Urban Company IPO and Shringar House of Mangalsutra IPO.

US President Donald Trump mentioned in a post on social media platform X that talks between India and US regarding trade related negotiations are on again. The US President added that he’s confident that the two countries will be able to conclude the talks successfully. New developments related to the India-US trade deal are expected to impact investor sentiment in upcoming sessions.
