Summary of this article
August instalment remains pending for Ladli Behna beneficiaries.
Regular monthly assistance under the scheme is Rs 1,500.
Payment date and additional amount await official confirmation.
The August instalment of Madhya Pradesh’s Ladli Behna Yojana has not yet been credited to beneficiaries’ accounts. Women receiving the monthly benefit were expecting the 39th payment by now, as the money is generally transferred around the middle of each month.
As of August 16, the state government had not announced the date for the August payment. This has led to uncertainty among beneficiaries waiting for the money.
Some news reports have suggested that the instalment may be released ahead of Raksha Bandhan, which will be celebrated on August 28. There is, however, no official confirmation from the Madhya Pradesh government on the payment date.
There is also speculation over the amount that could be credited this month. The Economic Times Hindi has reported that women may receive Rs 1,750 in August. This figure includes the regular Rs 1,500 monthly assistance and a possible extra Rs 250. The additional amount has not been confirmed by the state government.
Ladli Behna Monthly Payment
The Ladli Behna Yojana currently provides Rs 1,500 every month to eligible women in Madhya Pradesh. The monthly assistance was earlier Rs 1,000.
The government transferred the 38th instalment in July. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on July 12 that Rs 1,835 crore had been deposited among more than 1.25 crore women under the scheme.
Payments under the scheme are made using the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. The money is sent directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Ladli Behna Yojana Eligibility
Women who are permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh can apply for the scheme if they satisfy the eligibility rules. The age limit is 21 to 59 years.
The scheme covers married women as well as unmarried, widowed and divorced women, provided they meet the other conditions.
The applicant’s family must satisfy the prescribed income, employment and landholding rules. Neither the woman nor any member of her family should be an income-tax payer. The applicant and her family members should also not be employed in government service.
The family should have less than five acres of land. KYC is compulsory for beneficiaries. The bank account linked to the scheme should be held in the woman’s own name.
Applicants generally need their family and family-member Samagra IDs, Aadhaar and a mobile number linked with the Samagra ID for registration.
How To Check The 39th Instalment Status
Women can check their Ladli Behna application and payment information online.
Visit the official Ladli Behna portal and choose ‘Application and Payment Status’. Enter the application reference number or member ID and fill in the captcha.
The registered mobile number will receive an OTP. Enter the OTP and click ‘Search’. The payment history and other application details will then appear on the screen.
The exact date of the 39th instalment and whether an additional Rs 250 will be paid in August will be known only after the Madhya Pradesh government issues an official update.
